DBS Bathrooms is an interior panel and cladding specialist in the UK. Since 1999 the brand has provided complete refurbishments to businesses and homes across the UK. They are also the official supplier of Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover. DBS Bathrooms has been a Custard client since 2016 and are currently on their third 12-month SEO campaign.

The Problem

DBS Bathrooms first approached Custard in September 2016 after their organic search traffic had been declining for 8 consecutive months. This was beginning to negatively impact commercial performance.

Our Solution

To improve DBS Bathrooms’ organic performance during the early stages of the campaign, we focused on making impactful technical SEO recommendations and optimising the website for the main short-tail keywords. We also conducted a backlink audit and submitted a disavow file within the first month. Some of the actions we have conducted since include:

  • Extensive keyword analysis and of the main category pages followed by re-optimisation
  • Eliminating duplicate content across the site to avoid keyword cannibalisation
  • Identifying and recommending solutions for a range of technical issues such as crawl errors and XML sitemap inconsistencies
  • Link building through outreach campaigns and off-site content placed on relevant industry sites
  • Consistent on-site content production to broaden keyword reach for commercially valuable terms
