Due to Kelkoo not performing proactive SEO activity for a number of years across all of their properties, they had seen an erosion in organic performance across the board. Due to the size and complexity of their international sites (with up to 5 million unique URLs per site), thorough technical audits were required to bring the sites back up to best practice.
As Kelkoo’s properties were split across a number of different tech stacks, we needed to perform multiple technical audits which would take each stacks intricacies into consideration and outline all areas for improvement.
A thorough content audit was also performed, to reduce the overall amount of pages and content onsite, due to the site containing large amounts of thin content.
Each site also required full backlink audits due to their being no previous disavow files created. This meant that over 50,000 unique domains were audited and analysed for their quality.
The more intricate and drastic changes were SEO split-tested to ensure positive outcomes were seen from the rollouts.
Following the release of the initial batch of technical recommendations on the UK site, alongside disavow file creation and the removal of thin content, Sistrix visibility score is up 400% against the site’s performance levels prior to our involvement. As a direct result of this activity, organic sessions also increased by 40% year on year.
